As some of you may know this is Sandra's due date. Her mid-wife thinks the baby will actually not come until July 17th. I told Sandra she sounds far too comfortable for this to be the due date. Her parents are in Portland and going with her on mammoth walks though so we'll see. I'll keep you posted.
On another front, David Fransen was appointed Canadian Consul General and he and Barb will be moving to Los Angeles in September! They'll be there for four years. He'll be the senior Canadian diplomat and will be responsible for Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, and I think Nevada. He's such a wonderful person and will be fantastic--and close to Kieran and Sandra and little bump.

We're waiting on tenterhooks here, Fran. Keep those postings coming! Love, Meem
keep up those long walks, enjoy some nice dinners out with family and friends, go for nice swims (my personal favorite as it also takes all the weight off) and then be patient and accept the fact that any and all plans you will try to make, at least for the next few months, will be impossible to maintain.
Lukas was born at 40 wks and 5 days and Noah at a good 42 weeks. I know what it means to see the due date come and go.
Just hang in there and enjoy the quiet, eventhough uncomfortable, time.
XOX, Kama
Here's something that Tara made the wait more bearable: Every once in a while say to Kieran, "ITS TIME" - then pause for a bit and say something like, "to have lunch!"
"ITS TIME -- to do the dishes!"
"ITS TIME -- to to watch Jeopardy!"
